Research Interest
Philosophy of Education and Social Science; for past several decades I have had a special focus on issues in educational research and program evaluation (methodology and design). Also have worked on 19th and 20th century intellectual history, especially the emergence of the social sciences and educational psychology; and have also worked on William James and John Dewey, and on constructivism.
